What's inside

Each chapter goes with one video lesson. The video explains the thing; the chapter is where it becomes yours, in your own handwriting: a question page, a baseline, a warning-sign ladder, a draft to review with your care team.

Besides the twenty-four chapters, the book has:

  • Start here, and a map of how the twenty-four chapters fit into one plan
  • A midpoint check-in, after lesson 12
  • A page for coming back after a gap: you do not start again
  • The glossary: 49 entries, the words this workbook uses and the clinical ones, written for the first year after a diagnosis
  • What the research says, and what it doesn't, with a link to every source
  • Crisis lines, country by country, at the back

One chapter at a time

If you would rather take it one chapter at a time, each lesson has its own booklet. It has the same pages as the book, plus the crisis lines at the back.

How to use it

Watch the lesson, then open the chapter. The chapters stand on their own if the video isn't an option today, but the questions are easier after someone has walked you through them.

Print the whole thing, or one chapter the week you need it.

Go at the pace you actually have. Every chapter has a shorter route for a hard week, and it still produces something you can use.

Your answers stay on your paper. Nothing is submitted, uploaded or collected.
