Euthymia
A stable, balanced mood — neither up nor down.
Euthymia is the stable in-between state: not high, not low. It is the clinical term for mood sitting inside your normal range.
It sounds like a technical label, but it does something useful. It gives you and your prescriber something to aim at that is not “happy” — because the target in bipolar disorder was never constant good mood. It is mood that moves inside a range you can live in.
Euthymia is also not the flatness some people describe on medication. If feeling steady has quietly turned into feeling nothing at all, say so. It may be a side effect, or it may be a low that has not fully lifted, and those are treated differently. Either way it is worth raising rather than living with.
